My
Doll Faces
"Navajo with Weaving Loom" © 2007
This doll is a Navajo weaving on a large loom. I got this in the southwest when we moved from California to Louisiana in 1967. In the 1990's, when I visited Phoenix, there were updated versions of the weaver at her loom. It was interesting to note the similarities and differences.
The materials are all cloth and yarns, except for the wooden loom frame, and the fur rug she kneels on. Her baby lies swaddled, by her side.
